#1 - As wheel rotates in coolant, floating oils cling to its surface; water-diluted coolants do not. #2 - The wheel passes between "floating" wiper blades, oil is removed by them and drains into oil trough. #3 - Collected oil flows from the trough directly into a can or collecting tray outside the sump. |
